Active Power Filter / APF

The Wt-APF (Active Power Filter), also known as APF or AHF, represents an innovative power electronic device designed for dynamic suppression of harmonics and compensation of reactive power. Its operation involves utilizing current for load current detection, extracting harmonic components in the load current through internal GSP (Generalized Synchronous Reference) calculation. Subsequently, it controls the inverter to produce a harmonic current that matches the load harmonic current but in the opposite direction. This is achieved by driving Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs) to inject this harmonic current into the power grid, effectively achieving harmonic filtering.

Static Var Generator

Wt-svg, also known as static var generator (SVG) or static synchronous compensator (STATCOM), is a device that uses a self-commutating power electronic bridge converter to compensate for reactive power in an electrical power grid. It works by adjusting the amplitude and phase of the output voltage from the bridge circuit in real time or by directly controlling the current on the AC side of the bridge circuit. This allows the Wt-svg to absorb or emit reactive power as needed, helping to regulate voltage and improve power quality.

High Harmonic Filtering Cabinet

The WT-TAL high voltage harmonic filter harnesses the principle of capacitive reactance resonance. Fine-tuned LC components enable the filter to present low impedance to high-order harmonic currents at specific frequencies. This effectively redistributes harmonics, reducing their overall impact. High Voltage Static Var Generator (SVG)

The basic principle of SVG is that the voltage source inverter is connected to the grid in parallel through the reactor. As the voltage source inverter, it consists of 2 parts are DC capacitance and inverter bridge. Then, the inverter bridge is composed of a semi-conductor device (IGBT) which can be turned off. By adjusting the IGBT device’s switcher in inverter bridge, the SVG can control the voltage, amplitude, and phases after the inverter DC current to AC current. So, the device is equivalent to a phase-modulated power supply. As detecting the required reactive power in the system, the SVG can quickly generate the equal and opposite reactive power to achieve balance and system running with high power factor in real time.
